KOCHI:  ELEX 2017 the three-day electrical engineering expo will kick off at CIAL Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre from December 13. The event will see participation from leading government organisations and globally renowned electrical and allied products companies.  Some of the companies who are showcasing their products and technologies at ELEX 2017 are: Autokast, ISRO, KMRL, DRDO, KINFRA, Anert, Telk, Keltron, Cochin Shipyard, Kochi Metro,Kohler, Compaq, Transfix, V-Guard, Traco Cables, QWave, Navalt, Siemens, Hitachi, Crompton Greaves, Finolex to name a few.

The theme for the expo, the flagship event of the state government-owned Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Products (KEL) is ‘Powering Future Kerala’. There will also be a three-day technical conference where top bureaucrats, eminent technologists, technical experts and top executives from leading organizations will deliberate on the future and trends in the electrical engineering field in Indian and Kerala specifically.

The conference will discuss topics such as Global Experience on Energy Efficiency and Climate Change; Elevating Industrial Energy Efficiency in Kerala; Case Studies on Energy Management in Industries; Best Practices for Industrial Energy Efficiency; Equipments and Goods – Present Scenario and Export Opportunities; DRDO – Industry Interface and Transfer of Technology; and Powering God’s Own Country with Sun, etc.

“ELEX 2017 is a one-stop shop for all forms of electrical and allied products and equipment for all the major projects that are happening in the state and across the country. We have got some eminent speakers. The expo will showcase the latest technological advancements that will pave way for the growth of the sector in India,” said Prasad K Chakrapani, associate director, SPB Associates. 

Shaji M Varghese, managing director, KEL said, “The event is being held in Kerala since it is one of the most advanced and developed states in the country. Since many massive projects are also coming up in Kerala and other parts of India, an event like ELEX 2017 will bring a lot of focus to the electrical and allied products made in the state especially in the global market.”
