KOCHI: A person-to-person campaign was initiated by the Ernakulam District Collector with letters sent to parents who are yet to give their children the Measles Rubella vaccine. "Some children have not been given vaccine due to health issues. We request the parents who are yet to give the vaccine to their children to come forward and give the vaccine to the child," said District Collector Muhammed Y Safirulla. The Collector also urged parents to clear doubts and concerns with doctors at the nearest hospitals and make sure the child's health remained the priority. The MR vaccine campaign which began on October 3 has covered 89 per cent children in Ernakulam district.
