Leading music company AudioMojo backing independent artists

Express News Service

Today, AudioMojo has emerged as a successful model for artists and creators. The online platform has promoted many individuals and helped them boost their careers. The music industry suffered immense losses due to the pandemic. AudioMojo came as a blessing for artists and allowed them to distribute and collect royalties for their copyright. AudioMojo not only helps in distributing, but also adds service capabilities such as rights management, marketing & promotional tools for their content, and collecting royalties from all DSPs and societies around the globe.

AudioMojo's client base included thousands of artists, labels and other rights holders. It has represented many big sound recordings in the music industry. Earlier, music distribution was done through vinyl cassettes, but the industry has transformed now. It’s necessary to operate as a technology company to deliver valuable services competing in the market.

Independent artists have a good market share around the globe, and digital distribution is the key to making them independent. AudioMojo will soon introduce a funding program for artists and indie labels.

While most DSPs don't allow artists to distribute directly, Spotify recently discontinued its direct upload program after a year of the beta program, stating that "the music distribution is best handled by the partners". Different DSPs are likely to have different metadata standards and it’s impossible to handle digital distribution manually by an artist. Hence, AudioMojo partnered with various DSPs to distribute music on their platforms with their advanced technology.

AudioMojo founder-CEO Sonu Sinha quoted, "It is quite difficult, or say, it is impossible to distribute a track on all platforms by artists or managers. All DSPs have their own requirements before approving a track on their platform. It would be difficult and costly for DSPs to improve their technology to control the quality and payout of each artist. This is the industry's first music distribution. We were done physically, such as vinyl and cassettes. Now physical sales are less than 1/4th of all global recording revenues. Today, digital market share is increasing. Our entire team is passionate about their work, helping us to improve our services as per client feedback."
