The Centre for Public History, Bangalore  has organised a course on the role of oral history in documenting social change. As stated in a press release, The Winter School on Orality, Memory and Social Change, the course which began on November 6 will continue till the 15th of the month.

With eminent oral historians and scholars of digital humanities from India and abroad as facilitators, the 18 participants will have the opportunity to engage in detailed discussion on projects.

Apart from this, the course will also introduce participants to the impact of the internet on oral history.

“There are three pillars to oral history - theory, practice and technology and we have facilitators for all of them,” says Indira Chowdhury, director of The Centre for Public History.
