KOCHI: A seminar on ‘the science of natural healing’ was held here with Dr Arun Sharma, a pioneer in naturopathy addressing the crowd. The seminar organised by the Indian institute of Mahayoga and Sree Ramakrishna Sevashram focused on the benefits of the alternate form of medicine.

“In our concept, we don’t focus on the disease. We focus on the body and the overall well-being. The physical, mental and spiritual health is one. To maintain all the three, the focus should be given to the overall well-being,” said  Sharma,  International Institute of Mahayoga director and naturopathy practitioner.

“The very crux of natural care is  self-care and quality living along with maintaining the overall health of a person can prevent the onset of  ailments. A healthy diet and lifestyle can help build immunity to all these diseases and can also help a person recover,” he said.

The seminar also focused on subjects like ‘check one’s habit and not the body’, ‘ focus on health and not on disease’, ‘rejuvenating the body’ and  a ‘new understanding of cancer’.Sharma is a pioneer in the field and he wants people here to have access to such knowledge.
