Whatsapp Launches Nerw Features for Android

Users can now set custom notifications for contacts, groups and configure specific tones for calls, messages, notifications.

WASHINGTON: WhatsApp has released an update with a few new features for Android.

According to thenextweb.com, in the new update allows the users to mark conversations as unread by tapping and holding the conversation. It adds a green circle to their selected chat to serve as a reminder for the users but it will not affect the read status on messages within each conversation.

Also, the users are now allowed to set custom notifications for contacts and groups. The users can configure specific tones for calls, messages and popup notification of any contact.

In addition, there is an option to use less data for voice calls which the users can find in the ‘Chats and calls’ settings.
