The city wakes up to yet another music store with an international appeal

The famous drumist Shivamani and renowned music composer Loy Mendosa were in town to launch Furtados multi storied music showroom in Koramangala. Furtados music India, launched its yet another music store, but this time in a full swing with international brands.

The store is equipped with all types of music instruments like pianos, guitars, drums, tables etc, with international brands like Steinway, Yamaha, Samick, Kramer Guitars, Taylor, Hofner, Laney Fishman amplification, Cakewalk, Sibelius and many more.The store has also got a collection of books on music to refer too.

Furtados was established in 1865 and over the years the company has built a nation wide reputation in import and distribution of sheet music, musical instruments and accessories. Furtados which has formed a new joint venture, Furtados Music (India) Pvt. Ltd with two other giants in the music industry, Musee Musical Pvt Ltd and Communications Pvt Ltd in 2007 to focus on retail. The new these state-of-the-art music showrooms play host to all types of musical instruments and boast of the best brands in the world. Furtados currently has a presence across the country through eight retail showrooms and this will be the ninth outlet.

The event was filled with fanfare as both the musicians dabbled with drums, piano and a bit with tabla. The music fans from across the city were gathered during the store launch. When asked Shivamani about Bangalorians as music audience, he replied saying, “people of Bangalore have an ear for music and they are very encouraging”.
