CHENNAI: Composer-singer duo Hariharan and Leslie Lewis, popularly known as 'Colonial Cousins', have composed music for Tamil film "Modhi Vilayadyu", and they interacted with music and cinema buffs at a mall here to promote their new venture.

The two, who came out with the hit album "Colonial Cousins" in 1996, have now created the musical score for the film by director Saran. And they met fans and readily signed autographs Thursday at Music World in Spencer Plaza here.

On working with Hariharan and Leslie, Saran said: "A new trend of music was required for this film. So I had roped in Hariharan and Leslie to compose this new trend of music. I hope they will make history in Tamil cinema like the legendary music composers Viswanathan-Ramamurthy."

Said Hariharan: "Working with Saran was very comfortable. He has extracted the best tunes out of us. We are thankful to him for having opened the doors of

Kollywood for us."
