The Big Capital Gig

The Friends of Music, an initiative to promote upcoming bands and original music will be presenting its next concert on September 19 at the Lodi Garden Restaurant. It’s going to be a power-packed gig with Aditi Veena, the girl with the big and bold voice performing the eclectic mix of pop, soul and experimental. The urban folk collaboration Avi and the Uprising featuring Avi the singer and song writer, Jishnu, the guitar player and the producer, Himanshu on the melodica and percussion, Amit, the percussionist who also plays the recorder will bring out a beautiful blend of vocals, harmonies and sounds. They have also performed at the NH7 weekender. The Delhi-based Blues band The Grand Old Dog with Gautam Lahiri, the vocalist and guitarist; Sudatto Sen, the bass guitarist; Amit Gurung, the drummer and Udayraj Singh on the guitar and harmonica will perform on the same evening. They are known for 300 Pounds of Joy,  Clyde, and other songs.
