NEW DELHI: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari will be coming to India with a 40-member delegation for his private visit, during which he will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here on Sunday.
According to official sources, Pakistan has given a list of 40 members for the presidential delegation, which includes Interior Minister Rahman Malik, family members and senior officials of the President.
The three children of Zardari are not part of the delegation. On arrival by a special plane in New Delhi, Zardari will first have a one-on-one meeting with Manmohan Singh followed by a luncheon meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence.
“All issues of interest will be raised...,” said the senior government official, refusing to elaborate further.
The source said that the request for the luncheon meeting was made by the Prime Minister, after he heard about Zardari’s proposal to visit Ajmer to pay obeisance at the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
After lunch, Zardari will go to Jaipur and then to Ajmer. He will return to Pakistan the same day.
