KOLKATA: Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan Thursday said he felt "proud" about being West Bengal's brand ambassador.

"I am proud that I am the brand ambassador of Bengal. I am very happy. This is a proud city and proud state. We will plan the promotional shoot for Bengal very soon," said Shahrukh after a closed door meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat.

The meeting came hours before Kolkata Knight Riders, which is co-owned by the actor, began its IPL-V journey at Eden Gardens.

He also invited Banerjee to accompany him to Eden Gardens for the match.

"Shahrukh is a brother. He is the brand ambassador of Bengal. I will go with him to Eden Gardens," Banerjee said.
