Delhi Police Monday searched the farmhouse of former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, accused of abetting the suicide of former flight attendant Geetika Sharma, and took some items into custody.

Kanda, who is under seven days police custody, was taken to his farmhouse in Gawal Pahari on the Gurgaon-Faridabad road.

Kanda's relatives and two women were present during the hour-long search at the farmhouse as well as at the office of the now-defunct MDLR Airlines.

Kanda was arrested in Delhi Saturday after he surrendered at a police station. He was later sent to police custody for questioning.

He was on the run since Aug 8 after Geetika, 23, accused him and Aruna Chaddha, an official of MDLR Airlines, of harassing her and forcing her to commit suicide.

Geetika died on the night of Aug 4-5 at her house in Ashok Vihar in New Delhi.

Chaddha is in judicial custody.
