NEW DELHI: Stung by the Medical Council of India’s (MCI) lethargic approach in dealing with the MBBS seat cancellation-restoration issue, the Union Health Ministry has formally urged it to take an urgent call on compliance reports filed by educational institutions all over the country.
Union Health Minister Harshvardhan said about 10,000 meritorious students faced a bleak future because of the MCI’s obsession with minor details. “The ministry has sent 150 cases for review to the MCI, but there has been no response. ” Vardhan said.
