MUMBAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements will be the theme of Maharashtra BJP’s campaign for the state Assembly election. The party is all set to highlight that it intends to imitate in the state what the nation has achieved in 100 days under Modi’s leadership.

The party finalised its campaign strategy in a meeting on Monday here. Reports from observers on the party’s strength in all 288 constituencies of the state was presented during the meeting.

“A few surveys have concluded that the people of Maharashtra want to vote for Modiji. His achievements will be the focus of our campaign,” state BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis said.

The party has prepared a list of Modi Government’s achievements, which includes emphasis on good and clean governance, growth of infrastructure and opening of employment avenues.

Modi has already taken the reins of the party’s campaign in the state. He has asked the state leaders to send their inputs on the campaign ideas, but has made it clear that his word on campaign slogans and advertisements will be final.

Fadnavis said BJP chief Amit Shah will not meet Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray during his visit to the city on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the BJP is likely to induct “tainted” former Tribal Welfare Minister Baban Pachpute soon. Pachpute had recently quit the NCP alleging that its leader Ajit Pawar had humiliated him.
