National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday released sketches of two LeT terrorists who had infiltrated along with Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Naved Yaqub, who was captured alive.
The NIA launched a manhunt for two of Naved’s aides who are on the run where they have announced 5 Lakhs cash reward to those who have fruitful and reliable information about them. Mohammed Naved Yakub, the lone Pakistani terrorist caught alive in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir following a terror attack on a BSF convoy, will undergo a polygraph test today. The other two absconding aides include Mohammed Bhai (38-40 years)and Abu Okasha (17-18 years)
The NIA stated that he was giving “inconsistent statements” on various occasions to hamper the leads in the investigation.
The LeT terrorist, responsible for the attack on a BSF bus in Udhampur on August 5 that left two personnel dead, was produced amid tight security before the Special NIA court here on Monday afternoon.
During the in-camera proceedings, District Judge Amar Nath allowed the investigative agency’s plea seeking permission to conduct a polygraph test of Naved, who hails from Faislabad in Pakistan.
