LUCKNOW: A local court here on Wednesday, ordered the police to file an FIR against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly threatening an IG-rank officer Amitabh Thakur.
Thakur had approached the court after Uttar Pradesh police had rejected his plea for an FIR against Yadav for allegedly threatening him on phone with dire consequences, saying the allegations have not been substantiated.
“Hope I am given justice. I don’t have much expectation from local Police. I would appeal to higher court not given justice,” Thakur told the media.
The district court observed that suspended Thakur has prima facie evidence showing Yadav threatening the police officer.
