MALKANGIRI: 49 Maoists, along with 380 supporters, surrendered themselves to District Police here on Friday.
According to Police, all the Maoists and supporters belong to Materu village.
It is believed that the 380 people who have surrendered themselves were supporting Maoists because at least one member from almost all the families of the village was directly working with these Maoists.
Malkangiri Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhanu Mahapatra said that all the villagers and Maoists will get all the facilities according to the government schemes.
