Biker Rani Veenu Dies in Accident During Country-wide Tour

NEW DELHI: “It’s in my blood,” Veenu Palliwal would often say about her passion for biking. Palliwal met with a fatal accident on the 17th day of her country-wide tour on her Harley Davidson. Autopsy revealed that she died of internal bleeding. She was 44.

Hailed as one of the leading woman bikers in the country, Palliwal’s story was that of a gutsy woman who pursued her dreams despite obstacles.

The entrepreneur (she ran a restaurant in Jaipur) is survived by her two children. Biking communities mourned the loss and condolences poured from all across the country. Actor and avid biker John Abraham and the Rajasthan Chief Minister condoled her death.

She was named Harley women of the year in 2016 and was often referred to as HOG Rani (Harley Owners Group).

Her last Facebook post described her gruelling ride from Durgapur to Lucknow.

“When the going gets tough...the tough get going,” she wrote.
