NEW DELHI: Three days after Pakistan said that Kashmir is at top of agenda of bilateral dialogue with India, separatist Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday and discussed the situation in Kashmir.

Diplomatic sources confirmed the meeting which takes place in the background of increasing signs that the postponed foreign secretary-level talks will not happen soon.

Pakistan media reported that special investigative team had given a clean chit to Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar in involvement in planning the attack on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot.

Meanwhile, Indian airwaves were filled with the testimony of LeT operative, Pakistani-American David Headly to a Mumbai court, in which he spoke about the role of spy agency ISI in the Mumbai 26/11 attacks.

On 'Kashmir Solidarity Day' last Friday, Pakistan PM's foreign affairs advisor Sartaj Aziz had said that Kashmir was at the top of the agenda of the Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue.

Today's meeting of Mirwaiz with a senior Pakistan diplomat is to take forward the same line, to buttress Pakistan's pronouncement that Kashmir continues to be a priority for Islamabad, as per diplomatic sources.
