Did JNU V-C Allow Cops Into University?

Online Desk

According to TV reports, a letter written by JNU registrar to the DCP of South Delhi clearly indicates that Vice Chancellor Jagadesh Kumar granted permission to the police force to enter the university campus.

Yesterday, JNU Vice Chancellor M Jadadesh Kumar held a press meet giving a disclaimer to critics that he allowed police inside campus.

The letter dated on February 11 said, "VC grants to the police force permission to enter JNU campus if need be and as you may deem fit."

Evidently enough, on February 12, a large number of police personnel entered the campus to investigate the anti-India slogans. The probe led to the eventual arrest of JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar.
