Militants attack police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara

SRINAGAR: Militants attacked a police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Thursday evening and firing exchanges between security forces and the assailants were still on at the spot, said police.

"Militants attacked the Kralgund police station in Handwara tehsil of Kupwara late Thursday evening," a senior police officer told IANS.

"The attack has been repulsed... firing exchanges between the security forces and the militants are still going on," the officer added.
