Army: No Indian casualty in raids, Pak media pics fake

Express News Service

NEW DELHI: India has rejected Pakistani media reports that its Armymen were killed in surgical strikes in PoK and termed as “morphed” the images and the videos showing  “Indian casualties”.
The Army said only one soldier received minor injuries during the operation but they were not caused by any enemy action.
In another incident, a soldier from 37 Rashtriya Rifles had inadvertently crossed over to the Pakistan side of the LoC in the Mendhar sector. The government said it was making sincere efforts to bring soldier back. Home Minister Rajnath Singh said all attempts were being made to free the soldier, who has reportedly been moved to an undisclosed location. DGMO Lt General Ranbir Singh has called his Pakistani counterpart to demand the soldier’s return as is done in such circumstances.
Sources also said the surgical strikes were filmed by drones and the government would release pictures and videos soon.
The sources also claimed the operation was a clinically planned one and the attack on the seven launchpads were carried out simultaneously. It was a moonless night and total darkness helped the elite commandoes bring in an element of surprise, they added. The officials haven’t confirmed the number of casualties in the attacks.
