NEW DELHI: And the next stop in Union home minister Rajnath Singh's national mission of publicising Pakistan as sponsor of cross-border terror and isolating the country internationally is Bahrain, where he is headed for a three-day stay beginning Sunday, Oct. 23.

Bahrain is a key member of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) of which Pakistan is a member.  Pakistan has consistently flagged the Kashmir issue before the OIC and India has recently stepped up its diplomatic efforts to put forth its side of the narrative on cross-border terrorism.

Rajnath Singh is leading an Indian delegation senior officers from the ministries of Home and External Affairs. He is scheduled to meet Bahrain's kKing Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa, prime minister Khalifa bin Salman al Khalifa and interior minister Rashid bin Abdullah al Khalifa.

Apart from raising Pakistani sponsorship of cross-border terror in Jammu & Kashmir, the home minister will also discuss ways to enhance counter-terror cooperation between the two countries. Both Rajnath Singh and his counterpart Rashid bin Abdullah al Khalifa will discuss a legal framework to extradite fugitives from justice.

There is also an interaction planned with prominent members of the Indian community in Bahrain.
