Two Maoist guerrillas killed by rival group in Jharkhand

RANCHI: Two Maoist guerrillas were killed in a gang war in Jharkhand's Palamau district on Tuesday, the state police said.

The police on Tuesday recovered two bodies of Maoists belonging to Tritiya Prastutui Committee (TPC), from Bhelwahi village of Palamau district, around 150 km from Ranchi. 

According to a police official, both TPC members were gunned down by a rival group.

On Sunday, four persons were killed at Kasira village of Khuti district by Maoists belonging to People's Liberation Front of India. 

On Monday, Maoists also killed a youth in Khuti district.

In the last three days, eight persons have been killed in gang war of the Maoist groups. 

Maoist guerrillas are active in 18 of the 24 districts in the state.
