PM Modi worships Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi worshiped Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Tuesday. He spent more than 30 minutes in the temple including four minutes inside the sanctum sanctorum, during his two-hour-long hectic schedule to Tirupati.

He was accompanied by Governor ESL Narasimhan, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union ministers Harshvardhan and YS Choudary, during his visit to the temple.

The Prime Minister was welcomed by Isthikapal - a temple honor by the chief priest and his team of priests at Mahadwaram. TTD chairman Chadalawada Krishnamurthy, executive officer D Samabasiva Rao, JEO Srinivasa Raju also welcomed him. He was given Veda Asheervadam at Sri Ranhganayakula Mandapam and presented theertha prasadams.

Modi reached Tirumala at 1.30 pm where had the darshan between 1.35 pm and 2.10 pm. After relaxing at Sri Padmavathi Guest house, he had lunch and returned to Renigunta airport at 3.30 pm.
