PORT BLAIR: Protests against the ban on Jallikattu are getting huge support in the Andamans too. The Andaman Tamizhar Sangam on Saturday organized a massive rally to extend their support for the sport and the people who are organizing protests in this regard.

Thousands of people of Tamil origin today gathered under the aegis of the Andaman Tamizhar Sangam and staged a rally throughout Port Blair to show their support for Jallikattu.

The rally culminated in a public meeting, which was addressed by members of the Andaman Tamizhar Sangam. “We want removal of the ban on Jallikattu and action against PETA. The organization must be driven out of India,” said Tamil Selvam, senior member of the Andaman Tamizhar Sangam.
