NEW DELHI: Raksha Gopal, who scored the highest in CBSE Class XII exams, missed an absolute centum by lesser than a mark.

A native of Chennai and student of Amity International School in Noida, Raksha scored a whopping 99.60 per cent.

“I used to study just five hours everyday,” says Raksha, who is also a skilled pianist. Having studied the Arts stream, she managed to score a perfect 100 in English, Economics and Political Science.

“Studying round the clock will not help you. It will only stress you out. Being relaxed but dedicated is a must,” says Raksha, claiming she used to study in the morning while also participating in extracurricular activities.

“We raised our children with this advice, that there is scope in every step of your life. It depends on how you value your time,” says her mother Ranjini Gopal. “We were never this famous,” says her father Gopal Srinivasan, who works as Chief Finance Officer of Gujarat Petroleum Corporation.
