RAIPUR: Union Minister of state for home affairs Hansraj Ahir on Wednesday revealed the government’s intent of pursuing the strategy “boli-goli-vikas” to quell the movement of outlawed CPI (Maoist) in the country.

“We are prepared to take on every option, boli-goli-vikas (dialogue, bullet and development), from our side to put an end to the Maoist insurgency,” Ahir said during a day-long visit to Raipur.

“The government and the forces are working their best to restraint the naxals”, he said.

Under the power given to district magistrates and state home secretaries of seven states, including Chhattisgarh, for “grant of certificate of naturalisation under Section 6 of the Citizenship Act”, Ahir announced to give citizenship to 60 people, who fled from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan due to religious persecution and are living in Chhattisgarh.

The minister is later scheduled to hold a review meeting of the paramilitary forces at the CRPF head office at Raipur.
