NEW DELHI: The Armed Forces got together on Sunday to pay rich tribute to the frontline warriors combating Covid-19. Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guards together conducted fly past, steam pasts, showered flower petals, played mounted bands and illuminated ships  to send a message of solidarity to the warriors dealing with Corona patients.

The military jets, including Sukhoi-30 MKI, MiG-29 and Jaguar, flew over Rajpath, Delhi’s centrepiece boulevard, and then orbited over the city for around 30 minutes. Special helicopters even showered flower petals on the workers and hospitals.

While the workers were elated and overwhelmed by the gesture, they also said it will send out a message to those who have stigmatised and humiliated them. They also emphasised upon the need to provide more PPE kits. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh too commended the initiative and said the it is a thanksgiving from whole country.
