SRINAGAR:  The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday terminated services of six more government employees for alleged militant and anti-national activities. The six sacked employees included two teachers, two policemen, a forest range official and a junior assistant in the PWD.

All the six have been sacked under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to Clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution under which no inquiry is held and dismissed employees can only approach a high court.

Official sources said the dismissed policeman and junior assistant had allegedly helped militants snatch rifle from a policeman and provided logistic support to militants respectively.  While one of the teachers was formerly part of a militant outfit, the second  teacher is said to be a former militant. The forest range officer and another policeman are alleged to be militant sympathisers.
