BEHAMPUR : A couple was arrested by Purusottompur police on Monday for selling ganja in Bhatakumarada village here. They are Prasanna Parida and his wife Laxmi. Police also seized three kg of ganja and `18,000 cash from them.
In another incident, about 87,000 ganja plants worth about ` 9 crore was destroyed here on Monday. The cannabis were spread over 87 acres land in Murza, Manijiru, Bisipadar, Tikarpada villages of Sarlaguda Gram Panchayat under Gochapada police limits in Kandhamal district.
