Bizman gunned down over past rivalry

KENDRAPARA: A businessman,  Sudhansu Swain (22) of  Khadianga village under Kendrapara police limits, was shot dead on Tuesday by three unidentified motorcycle-borne criminals at Gandakhia village. Swain was returning home in his van when the criminals intercepted him and gunned him down before fleeing the spot.

Although he was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital by locals, doctors declared him brought dead. A case has been registered and police have sealed all the entry and exit routes of the village. Police, who are suspecting past enmity as the reason behind the murder, are also raiding the hideouts of gangsters to nab the criminals.

Six months back, a businessman, Bapina Swain  of Ameapala, had been gunned down. Abdul Sattar, a contractor of Tendakuda village under Patkura police limits, had also been shot dead eight months back.
