JAGATSINGHPUR: Managing Director of Odisha Stevedores Ltd, Mahimananda Mishra was brought back to the Kujang Sub Jail on Tuesday after being discharged from the District Headquarters Hospital in Jagatsinghpur.
His close aide, Basant Bal who had also complained of high blood pressure, has been shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack.On Tuesday, both Mishra and Bal were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Kujang, which remanded them in judicial custody.
The court also allowed Paradip Police to take Mishra on a four-day remand from December 29 for interrogation. Later in the evening, the duo had to be admitted to Jagatsinghpur Hospital after they complained of high BP, vomiting and chest pain.
Chief District Medical Officer, Sarat Sahu informed that doctors verified the health condition of Mishra and his blood pressure was normal on Tuesday morning but Bal continued to suffer from high blood pressure. While Mishra was discharged and sent to jail, Bal was shifted to SCB Medical.
