BHUBANESWAR: The Capital City will soon have a centre of New Delhi-based Chanakya IAS Academy. Sudipto Chatterjee, in-charge and marketing head of Bhubaneswar’s Chanakya IAS Academy, on Friday said, a branch of the institute will be opened here by October.

The academy is also going to organise a seminar here on August 20 for the civil services aspirants for providing tips on how to clear Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) civil service examinations (CSE).

The civil services aspirants in Odisha have a lot of talent, but they are not getting appropriate guidance in the State. The students have to go to Delhi for taking coaching classes to appear for the examinations, Chatterjee said, during a press conference here.

“We are yet to decide the fee of the various courses that will be provided here, but a decision in this regard will be taken soon. We are expecting that at least 40 students will enroll in the first batch,” he added.  Suman Sourav Mohanty of Khurda town, who secured rank 9 in the Civil Services Examinations-2016, was also present. Mohanty had taken coaching classes in Chanakya, New Delhi, in 2015.
