CUTTACK: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has decided to set up all nodal centres for annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination 2017 at police stations in the Maoist-affected districts.
Out of total 295 nodal centres, 27 centres will be set up at police stations in Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Koraput and Malkangiri districts. If necessitated, steps will be taken for installation of CCTV cameras at some sensitive centres, informed BSE’s Controller of Examination Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Mohanty said admit card for the examination will be available on BSE’s official website from February 8. While regular and ex-regular students can download their admit cards directly from the website, students of correspondence course (regular and ex-regular) can download their cards using their Unique Identification Number (UIN), he added.
While 5,76,794 regular and 22,996 ex-regular students have filled up their form through online, 4,690 correspondence (regular) and 584 ex-regular students have filled up forms to take part in the annual HSC Examination scheduled to be conducted simultaneously on the first sitting from February 28 to March 10.
Similarly, 3,595 students including 3,167 regular and 448 ex-regular have filled up forms for appearing Madhyama Examination scheduled to be held on the second sitting.
The Board has set up total 2,938 examination centres including 51 Madhyama to conduct HSC Examination across the State.
