NPP chief lashes out at Congress in Meghalaya

Tura (Meghalaya), Oct 12 (PTI) The National PeopleÂ’sParty (NPP) chief Conrad K Sangma has hit out at the Congressfor its alleged misrule in Meghalaya.

"The people are committed to uproot the Congress and itscorrupt leaders,” Sangma told a meeting in Selsellaconstituency yesterday.

Sangma said that the mood and wind across the state andthe Garo hills in particular was against the Congress party.

"We are committed to work for the tribals, minorities andmarginalised sections of the society. We'll not allow anybodyto divide us in the name of caste, creed or religion. We'llnot tolerate if anybody wants to force any ideology orpractice upon us," he said. PTI COR PRPR.
