Jammu, Oct 13 (PTI) Police today claimed to have foileda bovine smuggling bid by rescuing a dozen animals from atruck in Samba district, an official said.
The truck was intercepted at Thatial area in Gagwal beltof Samba by the police. 12 bovines, which were beingtransported illegally, were rescued, a police officer said.
However, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled thespot, the policeman said.
