(Eds: With minor changes)Tehatta (WB), Oct 13 (PTI) A bag containing 88,200 USDwas recovered from a bus by BSF jawans in Nadia district, anofficial said today.
Acting on a tip off, the bus from Krishnanagar wasintercepted by the jawans in an area under the Chaprapolice station.
They found the unclaimed bag with wads of 100-dollarnotes (worth about Rs 57 lakh) in it.
The seized notes were handed over to the CustomsSuperintendent, Tehatta, Sekhar Kumar Das.
Seven people had been detained for interrogation, hesaid. PTI COR PRBDS.
