Satyarthi's 'Bharat Yatra' reaches Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Oct 13 (PTI) Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthitoday said his 'Bharat Yatra' was a countrywide campaign toraise awareness about child rights and justice to children.

Speaking at a symposium on 'Surakshit bachpan surakshitBharat' held at Paramartha Niketan Rishikesh, Satyarthi saidthe campaign which began on September 11 from Kanyakumari wasaimed at stopping the crimes against children, includingtrafficking.

The Nobel Peace Prize awardee, who arrived in Rishikeshtoday in the course of his 'Bharat Yatra', called onParamartha Niketan chief Swami Chidananda Saraswati.

He also asked Saraswati to send a message of "surakshitbachpan" (safe childhood) to the world the way he had createdawareness about the conservation of the environment andrivers.

Satyarthi's 'Bharat Yatra' will conclude in Delhi onOctober 16. PTI CORR ALMKIS.
