Puducherry, Oct 13 (PTI) Twenty persons were injured in alathicharge by police to disperse a group of farmers and alsoworkers of the Puducherry Cooperative Sugar mill who heldagitations infront of the mill with separate demands.
While the farmers demanded payment of arrears for thesugarcane sold to the mill, the workers wanted that themanagement pay them bonus for Diwali and also salaries due tothem for last few months.
Police said that they resorted to the lathicharge as itwas conducted without obtaining permission. PTI CorRC.
