Jehanabad (Bihar), Oct 18 (PTI) Three children drownedin a pond in this south Bihar district during immersion of anidol today, officials said.
The incident took place at Rasalpur village wheresiblings Suraj Kumar and Jyoti Kumari and their cousin Ankitaged between 10 and 13 years slipped and fell into deep waterswhile immersing the idol, Kako Block Development Officer,Navkunj Kumar said.
No adult family member was accompanying the children.
Kumar, who along with Circle Officer Vishnudayal Raipaid a visit to the village, said "the grieving family memberswill be given proper compensation. Bodies of all thedeceased have been sent for post-mortem". PTI NACRG.
