BJP protest rallies outside police stations in Bengal

Kolkata, Jan 13 (PTI) The West Bengal BJP unit todayorganised rallies outside various police stations across thestate in protest against the clashes between BJP andTrinamoool Congress (TMC) activists yesterday outside thesaffron party's headquarters here.

"We have organised protest rallies outside variouspolice stations across the state. This was our protest againstthe brutal attack on BJP workers yesterday," BJP state generalsecretary Sayantan Basu said.

BJP and Trinamoool Congress (TMC) activists yesterdayclashed outside the saffron party's headquarters here and atanother place in the city in which several workers of both theparties were injured, the police had said.

The attack outside the BJP headquarters prompted theparty's West Bengal president Dilip Ghosh to demand PresidentsRule in the state alleging that law and order had gone for atoss. PTI PNTRG.
