Three women rescued from flesh trade, two arrested by police

Thane, Jan 14 (PTI) Police raided a hotel here andrescued three women who had allegedly been forced into theflesh trade.

Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Daundkar of theAnti-Human Trafficking Cell said that a man and a woman fromMumbra, who had duped these women into the trade, werearrested.

He said, based on a tip-off, a decoy was sent to thehotel yesterday after which the women were rescued and the twoarrested.

Police identified the two arrested persons as MohammadHanif Mohammad Yusuf Shaikh (54) and Tabassum Altaf Khan aliasTabassum Muskin Shaikh (34) and added that a case had beenregistered under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.
