Indian Bank defeated Indian Overseas Bank 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-13, 15-11 in the men’s final of the 2012 Vollys Club state-level volleyball tournament.
ICF defeated SDAT 25-23, 25-16, 25-23 to finish third.
Umpires Exam
TNCA will conduct an Umpires Examination (for city-based candidates) on November 4 at Chennai.
Those who are between 25 and 45 years of age are eligible to appear.
The application form can be collected from the office of TNCA from October 8 between 10 am & 6 pm. Entries close on October 20.
National U-13 Chess
The Tamil Nadu State Chess Association will organise the 26th National under-13 (open and girls) Chess Championship 2012 at Multipurpose Indoor Stadium from October 12 to 21.
Total prize fund is Rs 1, 75, 000 and the champions in each category will be awarded Rs 20,000 plus winner’s trophy. Every affiliated member of the AICF can field two entries in each category. Further details can be from Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, Hall No 75, JN Stadium, Chennai-3.
