Luis Suarez has admitted he does not understand his daughter Delfina's Scouse accent.
The prolific Liverpool forward revealed that Delfina is so at home on Merseyside that she has already picked up the accent.
Suarez signed a lucrative long-term contract on Friday and has made a stunning impact since returning from his 10-game ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic, scoring 19 goals in 12 Premier League matches. He has praised his manager Brendan Rodgers in an interview broadcast on his club's official YouTube channel and said it was his dream to win the title at Anfield, adding his three-year-old daughter has already mastered the local dialect.
"My daughter goes to nursery and she speaks like a Scouser - I don't understand when she speaks to me in English!" he said.
Rodgers has raised hopes of a first league title at Liverpool for 23 years, with the club top after their 3-1 win over Cardiff on Saturday.
The Liverpool manager's relationship with Suarez has been crucial in the Uruguayan international's move to agree a new deal. Suarez said: "I think Brendan Rodgers is a very good coach - he loves to speak with players for their confidence. It's my dream, I hope to win the league and a big trophy with Liverpool. When I win that, I will remember my family."
Meanwhile James Milner has warned that Manchester City must not focus solely on Suarez when they face Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Boxing Day.
Suarez has scored eight times in his last four outings, but with City aiming to secure top spot for the first time this season, midfielder Milner insists Manuel Pellegrini's team must overcome more than just Suarez.
"He is having a pretty good season," Milner said. "He's a dangerous player, so we will need to keep him quiet. But Liverpool are a top side having a good season, and it's not just about stopping him. They have plenty of other players who can do damage as well. So we need to get rested for our next two games, against Liverpool and Crystal Palace."
Liverpool visit the Etihad on the back of four successive victories, but City have won their last eight league home games.
