After Sri Lanka Cricket Players'Association expressed concerns over ongoing attacks againstSri Lankan nationals in Tamil Nadu, IPL commissioner RajivShukla today said that there is no threat to the upcomingmega-tournament, scheduled to commence from April 3.
"There is no threat to the IPL. Matches will take placeat the scheduled venues. Till now, we haven't seen anythreat," Shukla told reporters outside the Parliament.
Asked about participation of Lankan players in the sixthseason, Shukla said: "There is no team from Sri Lanka. Thereare individual players in few teams. We will see how to dealwith it."
Earlier today, SLCPA has written to the Federation ofInternational Cricketers' Association to assess the safety ofits players during the tournament.

Around 11 Sri Lankan players including Kumar Sangakkara,Mahela Jayawardene and Lasith Malinga are part of various IPLfranchises.
Some of them represent Chennai Super Kings who are basedin the state where the recent anti-Sri Lankan attacks havehappened.
