SC: Srinivasan was not Involved in Match Fixing

The much awaited result from the Supreme Court is out. The axed chief of Board Of Control For Cricket In India, N. Srinivasan has been cleared of any involvement in the match fixing activity that took place in 2013 Indian Premier League, according to the reports from the Mudgal Committee .

“Srinivasan was not found to be involved in scuttling probe into match fixing scam. Raj Kundra was in touch with bookies and was placing bets on matches ,” panel told SC.

The panel revealed that the Cricket administrator Sundaraman knew a contact of a bookie and had contacted the Rajasthan Royals owner eight times in one season.

The Mudgal report also said that there is no material available to show that Gurunath Meiyappan is involved in match fixing. The committee also said the findings about the betting activities of Meiyappan and that he was a team official, stand confirmed.

However, Srinivasan had made a statement a couple of months back that his son-in-law was not related to his Indian Premier League franchise, Chennai Super Kings.
