LEEDS: The West Indies were set a target of 322 to win the second Test against England at Headingley on Monday.
England declared their second innings on 490 for eight after starting Monday's fourth day just two runs ahead, having already lost three wickets.
Moeen Ali top-scored with 84, with captain Joe Root making 72, Chris Woakes 61 not out, Dawid Malan 61 and Ben Stokes 58.
Only one side have made more in the fourth innings to win a Test at Headingley than 322, with Australia scoring 404 for three at the Leeds ground in 1948 on the back of hundreds from Arthur Morris (182) and Don Bradman (173 not out).
England lead this current three-match series 1-0 after an innings and 209-run win in the first Test at Edgbaston.
