CHENNAI: Unbeaten centuries by KB Arun Karthik and B Aparajith helped Vijay CC to force upon a drawn against India Pistons and move into the final on better quotient and run rate at the end of the semifinals of the TNCA elite group senior division league game at the MA Chidambaram stadium here on Thursday.

Vijay made 344 for 1 in 92 overs. As per the rule, Vijay CC qualified for final as they batted for 50% of total overs played by their opponents. India Pistons had a quotient of 45.8 and a run rate of 2.54. Vijay CC had a better quotient which was 344 and a superior run rate at 3.74. This was Arun Karthik’s second ton and he has made 510 runs in the season so far. Defending champions Vijay CC will meet Jolly Rovers in the final.
