ANANTAPUR: Patolla Goverdhan Reddy, believed to be a very close to Julakanti Sreenivas Reddy alias Moddu Seenu and a co-accused in the Paritala Ravi murder case, today raised slogans such as ``Moddu Seenu Amar Rahe’’ and even vowed to eliminate everyone involved in the murder of Moddu Seenu. As was his practice in the past, he started raising slogans on reaching the court hall. But, the police gagged him. Later, with the permission of the court, he complained about the same to his lawyer, registering his protest.

In a related development, district judge K Gaddenna, postponed the hearing in the Paritala murder case. Meanwhile the CBI sought the court to remove Moddu Seenu from the list of accused as he was dead and presented the postmortem report to the court. Subsequently, Moddu Seenu’s name was removed from the list.

Earlier in the day, all the accused were brought to the district sessions court under tight security.

The jail authorities also submitted a petition explaining their inability to provide security to Rammohan Reddy, the accused turned approver in the Paritala Ravi murder case. Responding to the request, the court directed the jail authorities to retain him in the same jail before an alternative arrangement is made, as the court decided to write to IG (jails) to look into the matter and respond at the earliest.

In a turn around by all the eight accused in the Paritala case, they withdrew their petition submitted in the past to shift all of them in the same barrack in the district jail.
